Immersive Theatre Experience Props

Commissioned by Zubr Vr Ltd. for Asaro 

LiiM developed and fabricated two bespoke pirate themed ipad cases to be used as part of an Augmented Reality Theatre experience. Working closely with the animation developers, we ensured that the requirements of the ipad housing were met in a functional way. Then researched 17th century nautical instruments to reference our sourcing of appropriate fixings and detailing features, before creating an aged and patina appearance with lacquer, ink and dry brushing.

These pieces were received well by the users, the theatre company asked for two bespoke iPhone props the following production year. This time with an east asian pirate theme – to be used to ‘shoot’ AR targets.
